Art Exhibition Gabbia-no

Since 11 December to 7 February the old town of Pietrasanta will populated with art installation of the art exhibition Gabbia-no of Paolo Ruffini. The art works will be exposed in Piazza Duomo, in front of the Church of Saint Augustine and in the cloister. In the Sala del Capitolo will be instead exposed photos, sketches and testimonies of the “Friends of Paolino” that have collaborated to the realization of the exposition.

Paolo Ruffini, the actor, film director and TV presenter, tries his hand for the first time with figurative art confronting with difficult themes such as freedom, civil rights, integration, peace using some giant pop seagull, really colored and funny. The title of the art exhibition is an hymn to set ourself free from fears, limits and constrictions that keep us imprisoned everyday.

Gabbia-no means indeed ‘No-Cage’ but even seagull which in italian is ‘gabbiano’.

The art exhibition Gabbia-no of Paolo Ruffini starts officially the project STArt, Save Tourism & Art, elaborated by the municipality to sponsor in the city art and culture to offer visitors a unique touristic proposal in which fun and relax on the beach joins art and culture..

Followed on social even befor the official start date, the exposition of Paolo Ruffini is mainly headed towards teenagers, but winks even to adults. As the artist declared:

“I hope that for once can be boys and girls to take bring parents to an art exhibition. It wold be a poaradox. Why art never enter in social? Why it can’t be on Facebook? Why it cant’ be pop?”

In Piazza Duomo will be placed even a fake cage for selfies!
