Sant’Ermete Fair, although mark the end of summer, is one of the most anticipated date among the events of Versilia calendar. Forte dei Marmi celebrate its patron saint for three days with music, shows, dinners, markets and many other events absolutely not to be missed.

The festival begins on August 26 with the “Palio dei Bagni” and the historical parade with hundreds costume characters. The next day festivities continue with great dinners in the bathing establishments of the seaside, music, games in the square and the traditional “focata”.

On the morning of August 28, the patron saint day, hundreds of stalls arrive in Forte dei Marmi and between 7 am to 12 pm offer to tourist enogastronomic products of the territory, typical handicraft and haute couture clothing. On the stalls of the market you can buy designer clothes of great quality at very low prices. Even the boutiques of the city centre remain open till late.

Sant’Ermete Fair is not only about having fun, it’s something spiritual too: the same day in the church is held the Mass, then the Blessing of the Cross and finally the High Mass in late afternoon.

The day of 28 ends around 10 pm on the seaside promenade of Forte dei Marmi with the great anticipated fireworks show attracting everyone on the beach.
