Since a hundred years Viareggio’s Carnival is a regular date and the papier-mâché masters are committed for a lot of months in order to realize imposing structures, tall like buildings, painted in several colours, cheerful and filled with joyful people, giving life to the party and animating adults and children.
When the main parade is over, the festival goes on in the “rioni” (in the marina district) where music and dances are joining good wine and food in the several refreshment places, warming up the atmosphere.
