Versilia is a unique territory, gathered between the sea and the mountains, and can offer intense emotions during the whole year. May is the month in which bothe the coast and mountains awaken offering dramatic views and unforgettable sunsets. Once the cold winter days are gone, sun returns to warm beaches and nature to rule the roost along the ridges.

The mild temperatures of the days of May enable you to enjoy long cycling excursionsalong the seafront or mountain biking in the hills, as well as walks and trips to discover the most fascinating and least known spots of the territory. Not everybody know that Versilia boast some wonderful medieval churches, archeological sites and green areas of national interest. We are thinking about the Parish of Saint Pantaleone, the Romans ruins of Massaciuccoli and the Natural Park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli.

In May in Versilia is even time for fairs, markets and town festivals: special occasions to enjoy a a complete immersion in traditions, gastronomy and local folklore. Among the many events, particularly expected is the Palio dei Micci held in Querceta, a small locality near Forte dei Marmi.
